Grey Bruce Public Health is advising residents that with a Special Air Quality Statement issued for a large section of southern and easter Ontario, it may result in deteriorated air quality for most of this week.
It is advising its most vulnerable residents in the community, to take measures to protect their health and reduce exposure to wildfire smoke, which can be harmful to health even at low concentrations.
People at greatest risk include infants, young children, seniors, people with chronic lung problems and pregnant individuals.
They are urging a limitation or prevention of outdoor activities if you are feeling unwell.
Drinking plenty of water can help the body cope with the smoke.
