The Grey Bruce Health Unit issued a notice today that it will be vaccinating eligible individuals against monkeypox at upcoming by-appointment clinics set to begin this week.
Dr. Ian Arra, the area’s top doctor says the drug being administered, Imvamune is a third-generation vaccine that is safe and a highly effective way to protect people from monkeypox.
Information on eligibility is available from the Grey Bruce Public Health website.
The clinics are this Friday, August 12th and Wednesday, August 24th in Owen Sound at the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
The clinics will take place bi-weekly on Wednesdays until further notice.
