Grey Bruce Public Health marked the start of National Immunization Week Monday with it running April 24th to 30th.
For over 100 years, immunization has been instrumental in protecting Canadians and people worldwide.
According to Immunize Canada, it saves more lives than any other health intervention nationwide.
The last few years have contributed to people being unable to receive routine vaccines they need, leaving them vulnerable to vaccine-preventable diseases.
The week is an opportunity to catch up on lost progress in essential immunization.
