Grey County entering 1-year Off oad Vehicle Trial for Rail Trail between Rockford & Dundalk

Usage is limtied to OFTR Dufferin Rooftop Recreational Riders and they must be insured, plated for trail use, have an OFTR permit and be no louder than 94 decibels.

Grey County is embarking on a pilot project with the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders to allow some off-road vehicles onto the rail trail between Rockford and Dundalk.

This section already allows ATV riders, and this project will give OFTR the same access.

Grey County has agreed to a 1-year trial with OFTR local chapter club, the Dufferin Rooftop Recreational Riders.

To use it riders must be insured, plated for trail use, have an OFTR permit and be no louder than 94 decibels.

Both motorcycle and ATV riders must also adhere to posted trail signage including speed limits.
