Grey County will be holding an affordable housing summit next spring.
County staff spoke to council looking at potential incentives to help bring in more construction locally for affordable housing projects.
The work is all part of the Grey County Housing Action Plan which was first endorsed by council in August last year.
The county is hoping both private and non profit developers, investors, municipal and county representatives and community partners can come together and brainstorm ideas.
The county currently has surplus land in both Durham and Markdale which could be used for affordable housing.
