A Hamilton man is facing a slew of charges stemming from a vehicle theft in Wroxeter.

Huron County OPP were called about the theft of a pick up truck from a Mill Street home back on November 23rd.

They say when officers arrived, the owner had flagged down the pick up truck and the driver fled on foot.

Police were able to apprehend the suspect after a brief search.

Investigators say the suspect was found to be in possession of break-in tools, some suspected methamphetamine, a stolen license plate, and stolen driver’s license.

A further investigation revealed the accused was prohibited from driving and was in violation of his release conditions.

The 30-year-old remains in custody and will appear in a Goderich court next Wednesday.
