The Hanover Fire Department has been awarded a $20,450 grant for new lifesaving equipment from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.
The grant will be used towards the purchase of a drone with a thermal imaging camera, two additional flight batteries as well as searchlight and broadcast system.
The drone will be used for fire ground operations relaying information regarding fire growth and heat to the Incident Commander.
