Hanover issues Advisory after some residents complain of Water Discolouration

Following complains repairs were done to the transmission watermain from the treatment plant feeding the town. Town assures residents that the water is safe to consume.

The Town of Hanover has issued an advisory to its residents after some complained of water discolouration.

They advise that following complaints that over a period discolouration of the water distribution system was occurring repairs were completed to the transmission watermain from the treatment plant feeding the town.

Followed that the system was flushed and tested for clarity. The Town assures residents that the water is safe to consume.

If anyone notices discolouration, they advise to run your cold water taps to ensure it is clear prior to using appliances such as washing machines or dishwashers.

Staff will be completing further hydrant flushing to the affected areas.
