A 58-year-old Hanover man has been charged with failing to remain at a collision, a week after he allegedly fled the scene.

Hanover Police responded to a minor collision at 10th St. and 7th Ave around 6 p.m. on Feb. 1. They say they determined that the suspect rear-ended another vehicle before fleeing the scene on foot.

An investigation identified the man who surrendered to police on Wednesday. He now faces charges for failure to remain and driving under suspension, as well as three counts of possession of stolen property.

He was later released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Walkerton Court.
