A 64-year-old Hanover man faces charges after they reported a fabricated robbery to Hanover police on Friday.
They had initially said they had been robbed in a back alley between 9th and 10th Avenue, and had some personal items stolen, before investigation revealed the story was made up.
They male now faces charges of public mischief, breach of probation and breach of conditional sentence order.
They were held overnight for a bail hearing today.
