Hanover Police have been listed as one of Canada’s best police forces with a high weighted clearance and solve rates.
This comes as Statistics Canada released the national annual crime rates for 2023 which listed Hanover Police with their best organizational ranking dating back over 25 years ago.
The overall crime rate dropped 5 per cent last year when compared to 2022 with violent crime increasing just over 29 per cent and non violent crime decreasing by almost 19 per cent.
The increase in violent crime has been a result of more weapons and firearms investigations often involving people from outside the community.
