Hanover police arrested a 30-year-old Brockton man facing a number of charges after the suspect attempted to flee from officers earlier this week.

Chief Christopher Knoll says the suspect removed an ankle monitor he was wearing after receiving a house arrest sentence and attempted to go on the run.

Officers located the man hiding in a backyard composter on Monday afternoon. They also recovered a stolen vehicle the suspect was operating.

The man is facing several charges including dangerous driving, possession of stolen property and breach of release order.
