Hanover Police say they’ve charged a 47-year-old male of no fixed address after drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at a local motel.
Police say the woman was jabbed with a needle before being assaulted. She was treated in hospital and later released.
The suspect has been charged with sexual assault, as well as administering a noxious substance. The man was remanded into custody at his bail hearing.
Officers are continuing the investigation and anyone with information should contact Hanover Police or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
