Hanover Police upgrade injuries sustained by Scooter operator in July 14th Collision

The scooter operator was transported to hospital in stable condition but later transported to London after his injuries were upgraded to serious.

The Hanover Police Service has upgraded the injuries sustained by a scooter operator that was involved in a collision last Thursday, July 14th.

Officers, along with Hanover Fire and Grey Bruce Paramedics were called to the scene at 1:35 pm to the scene of a collision involving the mobility scooter and vehicle.

The investigation determined the operator of the scooter, a 73 year old Hanover man was crossing over the entrance to the Food Basics parking lot in Hanover when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 76 year old West Grey man.

The scooter operator was transported to hospital by paramedics in stable condition but was later transported to London after his injuries were upgraded to serious.

He remains in hospital.

The investigation continues but charges are pending against the 76 year old driver of the pickup.
