The Grey Bruce Health Unit says nothing has changed in their view on COVID-19 rapid antigen tests kits.

The Province announced last week that 44 million tests kits will be made available to grocery stores and pharmacies across Ontario.

Despite more test kits being made available, the health unit is still recommending the PCR tests only be used if you show symptoms of COVID and-or have been deemed as a close contact by public health.

They say rapid tests are not the most reliable method to determine whether someone has COVID especially if the person taking the test is asymptomatic.

The health unit says people who are sick should stay home regardless of whether or not it is related to COVID-19.
