The Grey Bruce Health Unit say they have secured a limited supply of a non-mNRA COVID-19 vaccine.
The protein subunit Novavax vaccine was recently approved by Health Canada for use in adults 18 and over.
They say the new vaccine can be used as an alternative for people with allergies to mRNA vaccines, or for individuals who are unable or unwilling to receive an mRNA vaccine.
Protein subunits are currently used to treat diseases such as Hepatitis B.
The health unit are currently contacting those who are waiting to receive the Novavax vaccine.
Anyone interested in getting that vaccine should contact the health unit.
