An unplated off-road vehicle has led to weapons charges for a Bruce County man.

Saugeen Shores Police noticed a man operating the ATV without a helmet on Goderich Street on Wednesday.

An officer stopped the ATV at Sandcastle Motel and recognized the driver.

An initial investigation determined that the driver was prohibited from driving.

A search later turned up a concealed edged weapon and 31 rounds of ammunitions for a .308 rifle.

The 27-year-old was arrested and later released with a future court date.
