Hockey Canada announced late this morning that its Chief Executive Officer Scott Smith has left the organization, along with the entire board of directors have agreed to step down.

An interim management committee will be put in place, which will guide the organization until the newly constituted board appoints a new CEO to lead the organization.

The interim Management Committee will focus on-day-to-date operations and ensure progress on the implementation of Hockey Canada’s Action Plan.

They will work with Thomas Cromwell, former Supreme Court Justice.
