Home Sales in Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound Region took slight Dip in September

A total of 183 units were sold in September, which is a 2.1 percent decrease from September of last year. They dropped 33.2% verses 5-year & 36.8% versus 10-year-averages.

Home sales in the Region took a dip last month in figures just released by the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound.

The figures show that a total of 183 units were sold in September, which is a 2.1 percent decrease from September of last year.

In terms of the 5 year average home sales dropped 33.2% and 36.8% versus the 10-year-average for the month.

On a year-to-date basis there have been 1,951 units sold over the first 9months of the year.

That is down just over 1% versus the same period in 2022.

The MLS Home Price Index has the benchmark price for a home in September at $579,8000 which is a 1.4% decrease from last year.

The average home price for a home sold in September was $649,320, nearly unchanged at a decrease of 0.3%.

The total value of homes sold last month was $118.8 million dollars, a 2.4% decrease from 2022.
