MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson who is also the Minister of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs made a statement on social media today in honour of this week being Ontario Agriculture Week.
Key to her message was why she is proud to be a farmer in the area.
“It is because it is a legacy that has been passed through generations through my family and my husband’s family. But more importantly we believe in the importance of growing good, quality, nutritious food close to home.”
