The Huron Chamber of Commerce of Goderich, Central and North Huron shared a message from the Town of Goderich in regards to a peaceful protest planned for this coming weekend.
The Huron County Freedom Convoy is preparing for a demonstration on Saturday, February 26th beginning at approximately 10am.
The advisory says they plan to meet in Goderich, to take the convoy around the Court House Square and then plan to proceed to a location in Huron East around 12:30pm.
They advise to expect delays. They also add that the Huron OPP will be monitoring the convoy from a distance to ensure the demonstrators are moving along.
They close by saying that if patrons or demonstrators block business owners/staff vehicles, fail to leave establishments when directed or cause issues for businesses that cannot be resolved they encourage to contact the nom emergency number of the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
