The Huron County Christmas Bureau has been around for over 55 years in Huron County over many formats, but primarily a toy drive in the community.
This year sees the Rural Response for Healthy Children take on organizing the fundraiser from the Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society.
All of the purpose remains the same and there are many ways to donate to the cause to make sure children and families have a happy holiday says Executive Director of Rural Response for Healthy Children, Katarina Clarke.
“We are accepting cash, cheque, credit card donations, as well as we will take gift cards. You can make your donation online this year, that is a new feature. Or you can give me a call at the office I can accept donations that way. Or next week our bureaus will be open and accepting in-person donations just for next week.”
The bureau locations for in-person donations next week only are:
- St. James Catholic Church in Seaforth
- St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Goderich
- Clinton United Church in Clinton
- Exeter United Church in Exeter
- Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wingham
