The Huron County Library has received the Minister’s Award for Innovation for “In Your Backyard” program.
The series saw the library hosting a virtual local travel series that highlighted several hidden gems from across Huron County.
They say it was inspired by Ontario’s West Coast’s Tourism program which ran during the pandemic.
It was done in partnership with the Economic Development Department to encourage people to get out and explore the hidden gems for a chance to win a Huron County weekend get-away.
The award was presented at the Ontario Library Association Super Conference on February 2nd in Toronto.
