The Huron Detachment of the OPP has now installed and activated the Automatic License Plate Recognition and In-Car-Camera systems in all patrol vehicles.
The technologies will be used to gather enhanced evidence to be used in the prosecution of offences.
In addition to that there will be objective video recording of an interaction between an officer and member of the public, and will also dramatically enhance the ability of an officer to detect plates linked with criminal or traffic offences.
