The County of Huron is utilizing multiple funding sources to develop sustainable & accessible housing in the County.

Last week the Canada-Ontario Housing Initiative announced it would provide $6.4 million dollars toward an affordable housing project in Exeter.

The 20-unit-apartment on Sander Street one of three currently underway in the County.

The other two developments are two new triplexes on Bennett Street in Goderich as well as a 39-unit-apartment on Gibbons Street.

Bennett is nearing competition while Gibbons Street is in the early stages of planning.

All are designed to increase affordable housing in Huron as well as address homelessness locally.
