With the passing of Queen Elizabeth II this afternoon local dignitaries have been sharing their sentiments on the loss of the Monarch that has sat on the throne for 70 years.
Huron County Warden Glen McNeil says years ago he had the privilege to be invited to dinner & dine with the Queen and she left a lasting memory on him.
“I found her a tremendously classy lady that I have a tremendous amount of respect for. She had the innate ability to be very warm and friendly to anyone she met. I have always held her in the utmost respect.”
He also extended his sincere condolences to the entire Royal Family on the loss of Queen Elizabeth II.
