Huron East council has deferred further consideration of a provisionally adopted Vacant Building By Law.

Council is expected to discuss this again next month on September 23rd and if passed, the adopted by law would bring requirements for property owners such as registration and minimum standards for the maintenance of vacant buildings.

Theses measured are meant to support safe, well-maintained properties and stable neighbourhoods.

Final approval of the vacant building bylaw would be considered at a future council meeting following the September 23rd report.
