Huron County announced that to help areas residents enjoy the winter season and continue to support local business, Economic Development is relaunching the Huron Hygge (pronounced Hoo-gah) campaign.

Hygge is a danish word that emphasizes coziness, self-care, contentment and well-being.

Now in it’s second year, the campaign encourages residents to engage in a variety of safe and enjoyable activities. Some of the activities planned for this year include:

  • Bird Bingo and outdoor activities hosted by the Huron County Library
  • Explore the world from home with international flavours found at local restaurants
  • Discover perfect wine and craft beer pairings with one of Huron County’s many producers
  • Relax and rejuvenate with a spa treatment, yoga class or wellness activity
  • Enjoy the outdoors in one of Huron’s outdoor ice rinks or borrow some snowshoes and get hiking on local trains.
  • Fun and engaging Family Day Activities
  • And much more!

Huron Hygge Boxes will be again available for purchased, stocked with cozy items from local businesses.
