The Township of Huron-Kinloss announced through Mayor Don Murray the hiring of Shane Watson to the role of Fire Chief effective October 30th.
Mayor Murray says Shane brings 10 years of experience in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter and has spent the past 5 years as a Fire Prevention Officer & Community Emergency Management Coordinator.
He adds that Shane brings the experience, education and professionalism that make him an asset to their fire and emergency services.
Huron-Kinloss CAO Mary Rose Walden also welcomed Watson to their Senior Leadership Team.
She adds she looks forward to working with him and she is confident that with his experience he will be a perfect fit for the organization.
