The Ripley Business Community hosted a well-attended all-candidates meeting at the community centre earlier this week.
The two-hour public forum ran Monday, Sept. 26 at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.
Those in attendance included mayoral candidates Roxy Bergman, Don Murray and Angela Thompkins; deputy mayor candidates Perry Elliott and James Hanna; and council candidates Lillian Abbott, Larry Allison, Alan Church, Shari Flett, Brian MacEachern, Ed McGugan and Carl Sloetjes.
Issues discussed included enforcement of by-laws on beaches and increasing by-law officer presence; fair distribution of tax dollars between Ripley, Lucknow and Point Clark; and security at the landfill sites.
