The Township of Huron-Kinloss received a Staff Report at the December 5th Committee of the Whole on the Regional Electric Vehicle Charger Strategy.
In it staff recommend the east side of the Lucknow & District Sports Complex parking lot as a location for future consideration of a Level 3 charging site.
Sources of funding for the project are anticipated in the Summer and Fall of 2022 from the Federal Government.
The cost of the charger proposed is estimated at around $100,000 with equipment and installation costs.
Staff state that the cost of the charging station to the Municipality shouldn’t be anything more than the space requirements.
