Huron OPP charge 60-year-old male with Impaired after Hitting Clinton Business

Collision around 3pm Saturday left the front entrance of the business on Mill Street considerably damaged.

The Huron County OPP has charged a Central Huron resident after they collided into the front of a commercial building on Mill Street in Clinton on Saturday afternoon.

Police and Central Huron Fire were called to the scene around 3pm on May 13th.

Upon arriving they found an SUV had collided with the building causing considerable damage to the front entrance.

The involved driver had left the scene in the damaged vehicle.

Soon after both were located and it was determined they had been impaired by alcohol at the time of the incident.

A 60 year old male has been charged with dangerous driving, impaired operation, and impaired 80 plus.

They were also charged with failing to remain, to report and driving without a license.

Their car has been impounded for 7 days and their license suspended for 90.
