Huron OPP charge Central Huron driver after SUV collides with Gas Meter

A 45-year-old female of Central Huron has been charged with failure to comply with a breath demand and impaired operation.

Huron County OPP have charged a Central Huron resident following a collision on April 26th in Central Huron.

Police, Central Huron Fire, Huron County Paramedics and Union Gas Technicians were called to the scene and found that an SUV had collided with a gas meter close to a home on Stone School Line in Central Huron causing considerable damage to the meter.

Police spoke to the driver and determined they were under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrested.

A 45-year-old female of Central Huron has been charged with failure to comply with a breath demand and impaired operation.

The accused license has been suspended for 90 days.

They have since been released with a June 19th date at a Goderich court.
