Huron OPP lay 19 Charges after Break & Enter at Goderich Motel last Friday

At around 10:05 am police were called to the scene and found a male had forced his way into a room, and had been found sleeping in one of the rooms without paying for it.

The Huron County OPP have laid 19 charges after a transient person broke and entered a Bayfield Road motel in Goderich last Friday.

At around 10:05 am police were called to the scene and found a male had been sleeping in one of the rooms and had not paid for it.

Further inspection revealed they had forced their way in the room through a window.

The suspect departed prior to police arrival but photos from motel staff allowed police to arrest them later that day.

A 32-year-old male of no fixed address has received charges including break and enter, 5 counts of possession of a firearm & ammunition while prohibited, and 6 of failing to comply with a probation order.

They were remanded into custody with an April 4th court date in Goderich.
