Huron Perth Public Health issues Advisory after Heat Event Alert Issued

The Huron Perth Public Health Unit issued an advisory today in regards to the heat warning issued for the area.

HPPH says when they are issued it means that high temperatures or humid conditions will reach criteria established by Environment Canada.

It poses an elevated risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke or exhaustion.

Tips include drinking plenty of cool liquids ,including water, reschedule or plan outdoor activities during cooler parts of the day, wear loose fitting light coloured clothing, never leave people or pets inside parked cars or in direct sunlight and avoid sun exposure.
