With today being Doctor’s Day the Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton sent their support and thanks to all the doctors serving the community.
They thanked Dr. Gunaratne for his wonderfully compassions care that he provides the Hospice residents and their families.
Doctor’s Day was proclaimed back in 2011.
May 1st was chosen to commemorate the birthday of Canada’s first female physician Dr. Emily Stowe.
It also coincides with National Physicians Day, led by the Canadian Medical Association.
