Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton is receiving a one-time funding increase from the Province to help offset costs related to COVID.

Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson recently visited the hospice to dropped off a cheque for $152,500.

In a news release, the amount represents a 45 percent increase ($47,500) from the previous year.

The money will be used help the hospice cover costs of hiring additional staff to replace locked-down volunteers.

Executive Director of the hospice Cathy Herbert says they are truly grateful of the Province for their continued investment in the hospice care in our community.
