The Huron Shores Hospice is set to receive an additional just over $70,000 from the Provincial Government.

The one-time funding represents a 66% increase from the previous year bringing the current and next year funding to a total of $175,100.

Huron-Bruce MPP says that the Hospice continues to provide the very best when it comes to end-of life care for loved ones.

She adds the increase is to address the growing pressures and increase access to high-quality palliative care.

Executive Director of the Huron Shores Hospice says they appreciate the government’s recognition of the mounting inflation pressures and cost increases for clinical services that are impacting their budget.

The Huron Shores Hospice provides free end-of-life care to residents of Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss and surrounding areas.

They also provide free programs such as Grief Recovery, End-of-Life Doula services, Death Cafes and End-of-Life Planning workshops.
