Kincardine council has approved its 2024 budget.
The final numbers for the budget is $38,301,468 for the operating budget and a capital budget of $13,243,442.
This means an overall property tax rate hike of 6.86 per cent and a blended rate increase of 5.87 per cent when combined with the County of Bruce and local school boards.
Some key investments include $5 million for roads and bridges including the reconstruction of Bruce Avenue. $2 million for parks and playgrounds, $1 million for the Davidson Centre and $1.7 million for fleets and equipment.
