The Municipality of Kincardine approved at their August 8th Council Meeting the plans to proceed with tendering of the downtown Kincardine Queen Street reconstruction project.

The project which is planned for next year will see the replacement of aging underground infrastructure in the downtown core.

Staff recommended the $7 million dollar project to finish the engineering design and issue a contracting tender. This will allow the successful bidder to begin in the early spring of 2023, pending the new council awarding the contract this fall.

The project includes replacement of all water & sanitary services, installation of new storm water services , as well as new sidewalks, curbs, gutters and paving.
