Kincardine Council has appointed two deputy fire chiefs as acting fire chief to fill the vacancy of Brad Lemaich.
Tiverton Fire Deputy Chief, Ron Simmons and Kincardine Station Deputy Chief Matt Cottrill will serve the role until further notice.
Simmons and Cottrill will carry out regular duties and responsibilities and do so until a new fire chief is hired.
Council approved the move 8-1 with councilor Bill Stewart being the lone vote against.
