After over 10 years of collaborative work, there will be a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Kincardine to Inverhuron Provincial Park (KIPP) Trail this Thursday.

The Municipality of Kincardine along with the local Trail Association are co-hosting the event that begins at 11 am on Nov. 10 at 1256 Queen St.

The 12-kilometre multi-use trail has been developed over the last decade, and saw the Kincardine Trail Association commit to fundraising $240,000 to help complete it. The project also received support from the Society of Professional Engineers and the County of Bruce.

The grand opening event is open to the public and will happen rain or shine.

Due to limited parking, a request for anyone wishing to join the event consider carpooling or choosing an active transportation alternative.
