Water levels in the Kincardine Municipal Drinking Water System are at a point where the Municipality has implemented further restrictions.

They issued a news release on Monday saying effective immediately, they are moving into Stage Three Water Supply Prohibitions.

In Stage Three, there is no watering of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and outdoor plants.

Washing of vehicles and building exteriors, as well as filling swimming pools and hot tubs are also prohibited during this stage.

The Municipality warns anyone caught violating these restrictions can face a fine of up to $10,000.

The restrictions are in effect as a result of work being done on the water treatment plant.

Drinking water is being supplied by the Huron-Kinloss drinking water system.
