Unifor is warning the public First Student Canada members working as school bus drivers in areas which includes Kincardine could be going on strike starting next week.
Unifor members from Local 4268 voted in favour of a strike mandate on September 24th with Kincardine members in 100% favour while Owen Sound is at 92%.
The key issues of the dispute include wages and unpaid work time.
First Student Kincardine members service 34 routes in the Bluewater District School Board and Bruce-Grey Catholic School Board.
Unifor Ontario Regional Director Samia Hashi says school bus drivers just want respect and fair treatment as their job is to ensure the most precious cargo, the kids arrive safely to and from school.
