The Kincardine-area Terry Fox Run is just 10 days away with it set to occur on Sunday, September 17th at the Davidson Centre at 9am.
The run is in honour of Terry Fox who undertook his cross-Canada Marathon of Hope on April 12th, 1980.
For 143 days the nation followed him as he gained momentum and ultimately raised over $24 million dollars.
Terry sadly passed away in 1981 but it didn’t diminish Canada’s passion for his cancer research legacy.
Nationally there has been $850 million dollars raised in honour of Terry that have funded 1,300 projects.
