Kincardine to continue Annual Phragmites Control Efforts with Spraying

There will be notice posted prior to spraying activity in the affected areas and they advise once sprayed to avoid the area for 48 hours once it dries.

The Municipality of Kincardine is continuing with their annual phragmites control efforts required for the shoreline north of Bruce Power.

Weather permitting from September 5th to 29th the Invasive Phragmites Control Centre will apply Roundup herbicide including spraying along the shoreline and in select roadside ditches.

The locations being sprayed are:

  • along the shoreline
  • roadside ditches along
    • Concession 10
    • Concession 5
    • Scott’s Point
    • Zepfs Drive
    • McFarlan Road
    • Tie Road
    • Sunset Drive
    • Bruce Road 20
  • along with 2 ditches at the Municipality of Kincardine Airport and along the footpath in Mystic Cove.

Spraying is weather dependent.
