The Huron County OPP took part in the recent Labour Day Holiday Long Weekend Traffic Campaign that ran from August 30th to September 2nd.
It focused on the big four offences of distracted driving, impaired operation, speed & aggressive driving and seatbelt use.
Various charges were laid including 149 for speeding, 12 for not wearing a seatbelt and 5 for impaired operation.
In total 216 charges were laid with a further 74 warnings issued.
Police thank all those who made safety a priority this past weekend and reminder everyone traffic safety is everyone’s responsibility.
