Area MPs have issued a statement about the high altitude object shot down over Lake Huron on Sunday, saying that recovery efforts are underway.
The statement from parliamentarians, including Alex Ruff and Ben Lobb, says that they’ve received a briefing from the government on this weekend’s occurrence and will provide more info as it becomes available.
The octagonal object was taken down by U.S. fighter jets on Sunday around 2:30 p.m., apparently landing in Canadian waters.
They ask residents that may have relevant information to call the RCMP National Security Line at 1-800-420-5405.
