Lamont Sports Park Public Fundraising Sees $65,000 in Donations on First Day

The day, sponsored by Enbridge with food & drinks, exceeded expectations welcoming close to a thousand visitors and seeing four groups signing up with $10,000 Home Run Donations.

The Lamont Sports Park Illuminating Dreams Fundraising Campaign is reporting that the response from the First Public Viewing of the State-of-the-Art Facility was a resounding success.

The day exceeded the launch expectations welcoming close to a thousand visitors through the gates over the afternoon and four groups signing up with $10,000 Home Run Donations.

The groups were the Devils Ladies’ Fastball team, Caley Farms, Social Athletics of Saugeen Shores and Meridian Credit Union.

The committee also received $5000 bleacher plaque donations from Vice Deputy Mayor & Committee Co-Chair Mike Myatt, his wife Jean and Family, Committee Co-Chair Rob Stanley and family and Ken & Freda McKinnon and family.

There was also a plaque donated by the Bisons and Weasels baseball clubs in honour of super-fan Vi Cottrill.
