Following a 2024 budget survey, Bruce County staff say the results align well the county’s strategic plan.
The plan which runs from 2023-2026 commits to implement public consultation to the budget and increase satisfaction with local government capital and operating plans.
In September feedback was collected from the online survey with 380 respondents completing it. 158 of the responses also provided open ending feedback.
The top 3 in feedback included a desire for investment in infrastructure, roads, bridges and winter maintenance, a need for affordable housing, a desire for continued pursuit of good governance and sound fiscal responsibility with also continued support for health care.
